Thank you Whitehead for taking part in our recent trial!

We invited the whole community to take part in our home and on-the-go digital DRS trial. The trial lasted 4 months and saw people between 18-80 take part!

Independent analysis by Queens University is currently taking place

3. Buy a drink at SPAR, Edward Rd
The retail prices on participating drinks will remain the same (so will not increase). That means for every item you recycle you truly are rewarded!

Most (but not all) soft drinks, wines and milk are included in the trial. Look out for the coloured sticker on products

Scan the Deposit Point such as your recycling box or out of home recycling bins, which can be found at the train station, playing field and Blackhead Path

8. Get Rewards
The more you recycle, the more Reward Points you get. These can be donated to charity or redeemed for SPAR vouchers that can be used in your local SPAR on Edward Road.

How do I earn rewards?

You earn Reward Points every time you recycle. The more you recycle, the more Reward Points you get.

How much is my recycling worth?

Simply log in to the app to see how much your recycling is worth. Your recycling also helps protect the planet, and that’s priceless.

Can I donate my reward points to charity?

Yes. You can help by donating them to nominated charities. So not only can you help protect the planet, you can also donate to a cause close to your heart.

FAQs

You should have received an information pack delivered by our team between 14th-30th September 2020. If you haven’t please email us and we will make sure we get one to you

  1. Download app: Search for Reward4Waste on the App Store or Google Play Store and follow the instructions.
  2. Login: At login, you can see how many items you and your community have recycled.
  3. Scan your recycling box (called the Return Point on the app): The app will ask you to scan the unique code on your recycling box first. If you are out and about, there will also be 3 new recycling bins around Whitehead for you to use.
  4. Scan items: Each participating bottle will have a unique code on it. Once you have finished your drink and are ready to recycle, scan the sticker on the recycling box and then the sticker on your drink packaging.
  5. Deposit: Deposit your item in the return point / recycling box. Due to the unique code you cannot recycle the same product twice.
  6. Get rewards: Reward4Waste will reward you for recycling with Reward Points that can be redeemed for SPAR Vouchers at the Edward Road store, or donated to a nominated charity. Charities include Angel Wishes, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, Hope House and Whitehead School

You earn Reward Points every time you recycle. The more you recycle the more Reward Points you get.

If you don’t live in Whitehead, but frequently shop in the SPAR on Edward Road, you can take part, however, you have to recycle participating items in the recycling bins in Whitehead to take part, and they can be found in the following locations:

  • Whitehead train station
  • Whitehead playing field / play area
  • Blackhead Path

We are working with local communities and governments on further trials. Please contact us if you would like a trial in your area!

Reward4Waste will reward you for recycling with Reward Points that can be redeemed for SPAR Vouchers at the Edwards Road store, or donated to a nominated charity.

Every item within the trial has a Reward Point of either 10 points or 20 points when recycled.

You have the choice to redeem your Reward Points as SPAR vouchers (that can be used in SPAR, Edward Road, Whitehead) or donate them to charity. Our nominated charities are Hope House, Whitehead Primary School PTA and Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful.

You need to collect 200 Reward Points to redeem your £2.00 SPAR voucher and/or 100 Reward Points to donate £1.00 to charity. You can redeem and donate as many times as you like within the trial dates.

200 Reward Points can be redeemed for a £2 SPAR voucher that can be used in Whitehead SPAR only. Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash nor sold or transferred for value. Once you have collected 200 Reward Points simply choose this option at redemption.

You should have received a sticker for your bin with your household pack, however please email us at hello@reward4waste.com, for whatever reason, yours needs replacing.
